Losing weight

The low-cal diet

Put simply, a low calorie weight loss regime is based on the fact that if you intend to get rid of some fat, then you have to take in fewer calories than you burn up.

So what is a calorie?
The calorie is a unit for measuring food's ability to produce heat and energy. A 'calorie' is the amount of heat required to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree centigrade. If something has more calories, then it will turn into more energy when it is converted.

Low-cal foods include cabbage, carrots, guava, steaks and burgers, and bamboo shoots.
