Buy Local Food : As an ‘everything in moderation’ kind of guy, I’d find a strict local food diet fascinating but obsessive and intimidating, says Peter Marks, program coordinator for the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project in Asheville, N.C. He suggests a more gradual approach: Every week or month, replace one food in your diet that’s provided by a big, faraway company with a locally grown food.

3 oz Strawberry Flavored Gelatin;

-1 Package 1 c ;Boiling Water

1 qt Cold Milk

1 qt Strawberry Ice Cream

----------------------------------GARNISH---------------------------------- Fresh Strawberries; -Optional Put the strawberry flavored gelatine and the boiling water into a blender container and blend at low speed until the gelatin is dissolved. Pour 1/2 c of the gelatin mixture into a glass measuring c and set aside. Add half the milk to the remaining mixture in the blender and blend on low speed until mixed. Add half the strawberry ice cream and blend until smooth. Pour into tall glasses. Repeat with the reserved gelatin mixture, milk, and ice cream. Garnish each glass with a fresh strawberry, if desired
