The South Beach diet is a diet plan invented by Miami-based cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that dieters should be eating "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston invented his nutritional system for his cardiac patients, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific data completed on other weight loss systems.
"good" foods include, lean beef, chicken breast, clams, fat-free cheeses, peanut butter, lowfat yoghurt and some vegatables, such as asparagus, lettuce and mushrooms.

12 c Popped popcorn

12 oz Salted peanuts

1 c Corn syrup

1/4 c Butter or margarine

12 oz Milk chocolate chips

In a large, greased, roasting pan, combine popcorn and nuts. In a large, heavy saucepan combine chocolate chips, corn syrup and butter. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils, stirring constantly. pour over popcorn toss well to coat. Bake in a preheated 300~ oven for 45 minutes stirring frequently. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Makes about 14 cups.
