The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet initially advocated by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet isn’t exactly a weight loss diet, nevertheless some people claim that they actually manage to lose a few pounds by following this system.
The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you limit the levels of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which puts the body in a state of equilibrium that is a lot more healthful than other diets, this is referred to as 'the zone'.
Sears claims that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is perfectly balanced and, as a result, doesn't build up fat.
The most valuable technique of the diet is to control the precise ratio of carbs to proteins, and to ensure your diet has high levels of Omega 3 fish oils.

1 lb Can French-style green beans

1 x Drained

1 ea Small jar chopped pimento

2 ea Small onions, sliced &

1 x Separated into rings

3/4 c Chopped celery

1 cn Shoe Peg corn, drained

1 ea Small can tender green peas,

1 x Drained

----------------------------------DRESSING---------------------------------- 1/2 c Vegetable oil

1 t Salt

1/4 t Pepper

1/2 c Red wine vinegar

1/2 c Sugar

DRESSING: In a small saucepan, mix above ingredients. Bring to boil; stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over vegetable mixture;
