General tips

Oven Tips : If you don't have one, consider buying a self-cleaning oven. They use less energy for normal cooking because of higher insulation levels. They also save on your rubber glove and cleanser purchases! However, if you use the self-cleaning feature more than once a month, you'll end up using more energy than you saved. When you clean the oven, do it right after cooking to take advantage of residual heat.

Trying Organic Food : If you are sick, you might feel sicker temporarily, as your body dumps stored toxins (heavy metals, drugs, cooked-food residues) that overwhelmed it and accumulated over a lifetime. This is called detoxification. Take it slow-eat more raw fat or cooked starch to slow down detoxification, if needed. Your body has tremendous healing power. Give it time (months or years) to fully recover from years of abuse.

Buy Local Food : With local food you'll get exceptional taste and freshness, strengthen your local economy, support endangered family farms, safeguard your family's health, and protect the environment.

Cook safely

Buy a smoke alarm fitted with a "hush button" so if it goes off accidentally you can silence it instantly. That way you won't be tempted to remove the battery (except to change it for a new one). If your alarm keeps going off unnecessarily you may need to move it further away from the kitchen.
If a deep fat frying pan catches fire don't move it (it could give you terrible burns).
